Ads help keep IconHub free. Here's how we run them, what standards we hold, and how to avoid them entirely.
๐ Last updated: April 2026IconHub offers 1,200+ high-quality icons completely free of charge for personal use. Hosting, design, development, and server costs are real and ongoing. Advertising revenue helps us keep the core library free for everyone.
We believe in a fair exchange: free icons in return for viewing the occasional ad. For users who want an ad-free experience, we offer Pro and Premium plans.
We are committed to keeping ads non-intrusive, clearly labelled, and safe. We will never sacrifice your user experience for ad revenue.
All advertisements are clearly marked as "Ad" or "Sponsored" so you always know what is paid content and what is editorial.
We block malicious, deceptive, and intrusive ad formats. All ad delivery goes through Google's vetted network.
Advertisers have zero influence over our icon selections, blog content, or feature rankings. Our editorial decisions are never for sale.
We disclose affiliate relationships, sponsored content, and advertising partnerships openly. No hidden commercial relationships.
IconHub serves display ads via Google AdSense on free-tier pages. These appear in designated ad zones โ typically the sidebar, between icon rows, or at the bottom of pages. They are clearly marked with an "Ad" label.
These ads are served automatically by Google's algorithm based on the page context and, if you have opted in, your interests. We do not personally select or control which specific ads appear.
Our blog articles may contain affiliate links to relevant products on Amazon. When you click these and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed within the article or the page. See our full Affiliate Disclosure.
We have configured Google AdSense to block the following categories of advertising on IconHub. We believe these are either harmful, inappropriate for our audience, or misaligned with our brand values:
Despite these restrictions, Google's automated system is not perfect. If you see an ad that you believe falls into one of these blocked categories or is otherwise inappropriate, please report it using the process in Section 9.
By default, Google AdSense may serve personalised ads based on your browsing history and interests using advertising cookies. This means ads may be more relevant to you, but it also means Google collects data about your behaviour.
You have meaningful control over this:
If you opt out of personalised advertising, you will still see ads โ they will just be less targeted (contextual ads based on the page content rather than your history).
Residents of the EU/EEA and UK are shown a consent prompt before personalised ads are served. California residents have rights under CCPA to opt out of the "sale" of their personal information as defined by that law.
IconHub participates in the Amazon Associates Programme. When blog articles recommend tools, books, design resources, or related products, links to those products on Amazon may be affiliate links.
๐ข Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, IconHub earns from qualifying purchases. This means we receive a small commission when you buy via our links โ at no additional cost to you.
Our affiliate relationships operate under these principles:
Other affiliate partnerships may be added in future and will be disclosed on the relevant pages.
IconHub's content โ including the icon library, search results, featured icons, blog articles, tutorials, and category rankings โ is determined entirely by our editorial and design team based on quality, relevance, and user need.
We do not accept payment to:
This is a firm policy. If advertisers attempt to influence our editorial content, we terminate the relationship.
Any sponsored or branded content, if we ever produce it, will be explicitly and prominently labelled as "Sponsored Content" and will adhere to all applicable advertising standards and disclosure requirements.
We understand that ads aren't for everyone. If you prefer a completely ad-free experience, our paid plans offer this benefit:
Upgrade your plan and enjoy IconHub without interruption โ plus unlock unlimited downloads and colour customisation.
โจ View Plans โEven with our best efforts, an inappropriate ad may occasionally slip through Google's automated system. We take these reports seriously.
If you see an ad on IconHub that is:

You can also report inappropriate ads directly to Google using the "Why this ad?" link that appears on most Google AdSense ads.
